Recipient Impact Statements
“Your scholarship has not only eased the financial burden that comes with pursuing double degrees and double minors but has also allowed me to fully immerse myself in my education and extracurricular activities to best serve the Greek and greater campus communities… Your investment in my education has made a significant difference in my life. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and hope to one day pay it forward by supporting our students, families, and communities for years to come.” - Tina Vũ, Mary L. Peterson Scholarship Recipient
“This scholarship has removed a barrier for me to pursue my educational goals. As a DACA recipient, paying for tuition with very limited financial assistance has been my greatest barrier… This scholarship has made it possible for me to be able to graduate with my master’s education and begin my career in the mental health field. It’s support from the community like you that has made this possible for me and now I am able to give back and have in impact in our community through my work as a social worker.” - Evelin Lizeth Calderon De Leon, Esther Materon-Arum Scholarship Recipient
